About Us

Magnolia Black Markets, originally The Candler Black market, was incorporated in 2020, an idea curated by Chef, Mother, & entrepreneur Neelah Hinds. Magnolia Black Markets purpose is to fill the need for wholesome farm-fresh produce in food deserts; and to ensure equity and vitality for local food sources, and small businesses in our communities.

Magnolia Black Market's Past

Magnolia Black Markets started in the Candler- McAfee community, with the goal of fighting food insecurity and supply chain issues; aiming to be a cultural shift from big box stores into the hearts and hands of the local community.

Magnolia Black Market's Present

From Candler now spearheading into a brand new Covington location, Magnolia Black Markets pushes the local community to truly embrace each other as neighbors, support small businesses, buy fresh local produce at affordable prices, and showing support for young entrepreneurs.

Magnolia Black Market's Future

To embody all that a local market should bring to the table: a taste of authentic flavors, enjoyment of the season at hand, supporting local farmers, protecting and nourishing the environment and community, knowing where your food comes from, promoting the humane treatment of animals, and connecting our communities.
